Welcome to Acadia Royal E-Bikes. By booking a rental, delivery, or vacation home with us, you agree to the terms below. Please read them carefully before using our services.

Acadia Royal E-Bikes is based on Mount Desert Island, Maine. We provide short term e-bike rentals with delivery and vacation home rentals near Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor.

1. Booking and Payment

When you book with us, you agree to provide accurate and complete information.

• Full payment is required to confirm your reservation unless stated otherwise
• Prices are listed in US dollars
• We reserve the right to cancel a booking if payment is not received
• You must be at least 16 years old to rent an e-bike and at least 21 years old to book lodging

We may refuse service if safety rules are not followed.

2. E-Bike Rental Terms

Our e-bikes are designed for safe riding on roads and approved carriage paths in Acadia National Park and surrounding areas.

By renting an e-bike, you agree:

• To follow all local and park rules
• To wear a helmet at all times
• To ride responsibly and safely
• Not to ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol
• Not to allow anyone else to use the bike unless listed on the agreement

You are responsible for the bike during your rental period.

Returns, Damage, and Loss

You agree to return the e-bike in the same condition you received it.

If you return the e-bike earlier than agreed, no refunds or credit will be provided for unused time.

If the bike experiences mechanical issues that are not due to customer misuse, we will provide a replacement bike if one is available. If no replacement is available, a refund will be issued based on unused rental time.

Bikes must be returned in the same condition as when rented.

Refunds will not be issued for returns involving:

• Damage caused by misuse or negligence
• Failure to follow rental policies
• Lost or stolen bikes
• Lost or missing equipment such as chargers or locks

All late returns are subject to a $30 late fee per e-bike per hour.

We recommend staying with your bike at all times and locking it when not in use.

3. Delivery and Pickup

We do not operate from a central storefront. We specialize in delivery service on Mount Desert Island.

We currently offer:

• Morning delivery at the Hulls Cove Visitor Center in Acadia National Park from 9:30am to 10:00am
• Delivery at the Bar Harbor Ball Field at 12:30pm
• Delivery to any campground on Mount Desert Island
• Hotel or rental delivery as arranged in advance. Customer must confirm that access, parking, and property approval are available for delivery at the scheduled time.

You must arrive on time for your scheduled delivery. If you are late, we may not be able to wait due to other deliveries.

Pickup details will be shared during booking. You are responsible for being present at the agreed time and location.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation policies may vary depending on the season.

General guidelines:

• Cancellations made more than 48 hours before your rental may receive a full or partial refund
• Cancellations made within 48 hours may not be refunded
• Weather does not automatically qualify for a refund

We will do our best to work with you in case of emergencies.

5. Assumption of Risk

Riding an e-bike involves risk. This includes falls, collisions, and weather related hazards.

By renting from Acadia Royal E-Bikes, you understand:

• You are choosing to ride at your own risk
• You are responsible for your own safety
• Acadia Royal E-Bikes is not responsible for injuries caused by rider error or unsafe behavior

We strongly recommend that all riders understand basic bike safety before renting.

6. Vacation Home Rentals

If you book lodging with us, you agree to:

• Respect the property and neighbors
• Follow all house rules
• Avoid parties or large gatherings unless approved
• Leave the property in good condition

You are responsible for any damage caused during your stay.

Check in and check out times will be provided at booking.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by Maine law:

• We are not responsible for personal injury, loss, or damage beyond our control
• We are not responsible for delays caused by weather, traffic, or park closures
• We are not responsible for lost or stolen personal items

8. Privacy

We respect your privacy.

We collect personal information only to:

• Process bookings
• Communicate about your rental
• Improve our services

We do not sell your personal information.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website. Continued use of our services means you accept the updated terms.
